Primaluna Prologue 3 vs. VTL 2.5

looking for warm, open soundstage, three-dimensional presentation- live performance. I have:
B&K ST202
Jolida 100 cd
Alon II speakers

I would like to add a quality pre-amp thinking of prologue 3 ???????

I wonder if it would be an improvement, a degredation, or just a bit different. Interested to see what comes up here from anyone who owns it.
