Powering on an SS Amp

Hi Guys, I just would want to know if it will be safe for me to Power On an SS Amp without the preamp and the speakers connected? Thank you.

I have not used it about 6 months and would like to install them replacing an Audio Research VS115 Amp. Before doing so, I want it bench tested before even think moving it coz it's massively heavy. I just want to make sure that it powers up. Jun
