I know powered speakers tend not have as good sound as wiring regular speakers to an amp yourself, but these will be for a TV just for gaming/movies. I already have a much better, real audio system for my computer for music listening. Here's what I found researching so far:

If not, open to suggestions....really, if there is a comparable pair of speakers AND amp I can get for $300 max, I guess I'd consider getting some real speakers and an amp if powered speakers really are bad.
