Powered speaker pair for $200-$300?
cyber Monday deal on JBL 305P - <$200/pair. Its predecessor the LSR305 was very popular. For under $300, powered speakers are the way to go unless you go used. You could probably go to a pawn shop and find an old receiver for pretty cheap and then get some passive speakers to go with it. Powered is better for the money at most price points, though.
