When I first bought my FPB300 (used) it did the same thing and Krell felt that it was normal with my very sensative speakers. Then the problem got worse and sometimes one channel wouldn't come on or go off.
I sent is back to Krell and they said that it was a wonder that it worked at all, let alone produce great sound.
There was a lot of internal damage that they felt was probably due to the past owner using a tube preamp without making the adjustements to the amp.
They did all the repairs. ... It now works great and there is only a small pop when I turn off the amp.
I would suggest that you call Krell and ask to speak to Steve Leckrone, and tell him that I sent you.
