No shipping crates, so no shipping. Must drive to get them.

Actually, I am curious more than anything. Nestorovic is also one of the speakers I am curious about! It is just fun to experience all those past products that were the best at their time. I will probably resell them at one point but I want to have that experience. We love road trips but still a stretch for a purchase but still thinking, still thinking :)

I don't know how old but I'd say at least 30 years old though the drivers and tweeters look good. Cabinet also looks good.

Funny enough, there’s a pair super close to where I live, Ft. Lauderdale. However, the owner won’t sell them for $700! The one I am talking about is in Alabama.

@jayctoy speaking of R3. I think it was 2001 CES when Mark Levinson was promoting them the very first time. I got to meet him too. He was saying you don’t need a center speaker if you have good pair of speakers. They were very good I remember. Good times. Now, CES isn’t fun for me. 

@thecarpathian I just read your itinerary with my wife, she loves it :) She says we might make that trip; speakers or not :)

@deep_333 I doubt they are stolen. It is a super nice lady (I think her partner owns them). I can tell from her writing.

I don't think it is fair to ask him to listen to them knowing I won't buy them at his asking price. It would be nice though.

No no, there is still a chance :) Sometimes I am super indecisive and even though most people think I won't do it, I will do it the last minute. Especially if the conditions change. 

Thanks everyone who has expressed their ideas. Unfortunately, I just found out that one condition I had is not going to happen. We were going to go to TN for the holidays, and I was going to make a stop (still some drive but not 12 hours)! to get the speakers. This trip is cancelled. Oh well, it did not happen. I guess it was not meant to be. Thanks again.

Misunderstood. If my TN trip wasn’t canceled, I would have stopped in AL to pick them up. We aren’t going to TN.

No no. At first I was fifty fifty. Then I thought I would open a thread here to see. Then I was leaning more towards 80% a no. Then I found out my mother-in-laws might be going to TN and they asked my wife and I if we would go. I checked the map and saw it was going to be extra 3hrs drive if we went. I told myself if we go to TN, I will buy them. Then mother-in-laws said they weren’t going to TN so that’s that.
