Pioneer DV-AX10

Hello, have a question for ya'll...

Anybody know where I can have a Pioneer DV-AX10 repaired?

Such a beautiful unit that I'm really bumming about not being able to have this repaired.

If this ends up being the case, unable to repair, it would be a shame.
What a fantastic player this has been.
Thanks ya'll.
Pioneer says they do not service that unit, was my first contact.

Thanks jafant.
Will be contacting them and will report back...
Tom...
The DV-AX10 would play all discs except CD’s. On CD’s it says cannot read.
The repair place says it’s not the laser, it’s a software issue.
Pioneer says no available parts or repair is supported.
Hey Tom,

Not bad with the mechanical part of being technical. However, I’m not a troubleshooter more like a parts repairer/replacer.

What have you done to repair DV-AX10’s?

Always willing to try...
Well,
I received the DV-AX10 back from the repair facility.

I have gone a different route to get the DV-AX10 back into my system.
Found someone selling one that the remote has been lost. Damn good price too.
Seller says it works as it should & all formats were checked for operation... this of course remains to be the test but, I'll remain hopeful.

Quite a few folks selling these seem to think because it works on DVD that it works for all formats, this is not true.

Should be here soon and will report back...
Quick update...

Received the new to me 2nd DV-AX10 yesterday 4-26-21.
Pulled it out of it's double box and plugged it in.
It read every disc just fine.
Whew!

Now have a working unit that plays flawlessly.

Every now and then the audiophile gods land on someone in Wyoming.

It's time for my favorite SACD, a couple O frosty beverages, sit back and enjoy the tunes...
Yea.....
That first DV-AX10.
Looks like I have a nice looking parts piece?

I still have no idea where to get one repaired.

Just got lucky.

Sorry this didn't end up being, able to tell someone, where to go for work on these.
Can’t leave well enough alone...
I contacted Pioneer again and have received a tad bit of good news.
After quite a long time of talking to the rep he has given me a contact for an authorized repair facility on the DV-AX10. Adam's Electronics in Huntington Beach, CA.
Anyone familiar with them?

He did say that there are no parts available for this piece and the repair place may not even look at the unit.
But, at least it’s not a dead-end.

I also sent an email to the repair place that jafant recommended.

This Pioneer is just too nice a unit to not pursue all possibilities.

Will update this as it goes.
