Perfect Path Tecnologies ‘The Gate’
Having been a music lover and audio enthusiast for more decades than I care to admit to I’ve had the privilege of owning some tremendous components over those years and thought I had attained a level of musical enjoyment that would be difficult to improve upon without spending more money than I could afford. Then along came The Gate to turn my audio conceptions on end.
While I was quite skeptical of all of the positive proclamations regarding the Perfect Path mats, cards and contact enhancer ( how could they possibly bring about such sonic improvements?) I took the plunge and purchased a nano bundle to see what the hubbub was all about. Much to my surprise they not only brought about improvements to my systems’ ability to recreate a more musical sound but did so in spades.
When Tim of Perfect Path Technologies asked if I wanted to try his new product, The Gate, I jumped at the chance thinking it would be a nice addition to what the other products provided. I wasn’t prepared for the quantum leap The Gate brought to my music listening pleasure. As much as the other products brought about a much lower noise floor, greater detail and delicacy, improved dynamics, richer tone and more realism The Gate does so in magnitudes difficult to describe. The best way I can describe its affect is unreal purity leading the most realistic musical sound I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing.....outside of a live performance obviously. It has me listening to all of my CD’s as if for the first time again.
I have no idea how The Gate actually works or what it does I just know it’s the most dramatic tweak to my system I’ve ever experienced and I wouldn’t think of being without it. As to how it’s implemented, it’s installed in the electrical panel with one lead connected to the common buss and the other to a breaker ( preferably 220). Hope I got the terminology correct.....I’m far from being an electrician!
At $4,999.00 it’s not cheap but worth every penny to me as I’ve spent more on components with less sonic improvement.
Lastly, I realize some will scoff at something they can’t understand and I get not understanding it as I don’t, but I would hope people could keep their skepticism healthy and civil. I am not here to promote or sell, nor do I have any affiliation with PPT. I am only sharing something that I’ve found to be transforming in my system. Sorry for the lengthy introduction.

Your interesting observations are typification of 4 basic attitudes toward a new situation or a possible set of events: The individual inquisitive sceptic attitude toward a new unknown possibility, The more socialistic open enthusiastic mind, The more impersonal and straight expert restricted attitude, coming from past learnings, And finally the rebel and disruptive attitude in which we must distinguish the good faith rebel from the bad faith disruptive spirit... All this is in us to some extent... I apologize for the simplification of these very informative observations... Thanks... |
Perhaps should i sell my idea instead of giving it free ? 😁 I create what i called a "golden plate"... Shungite tile+ copper tape on the external side of the application... I use them all along the main location of my electrical grid with success and no "edge" to the sound... I use them also behind my speakers posts cables and on my main central electrical panel and even outdoor on the electrical meter box, inside on the main router etc... I use them with a very small shungite plate tough on my Schuman Generators grid.... But i give idea to all free of charge, and guess what nobody want to try them really....Cost is peanuts compared to competition... They prefer throwing thousand of dollars of money.... I am too old to create an audio company.... If someone try one i will be interested by his review... The "golden plates" are my main tool to drecease my house electrical noise floor....What i called one of my embeddings controls... 😊 P.S. dont use them near an amplifier or near a dac or a cd player they will compress the sound ...Sometimes i use them with an Herkimer diamond to make the effect more refine... |
Mahgister thanks for you recommendations and suggestions. Since it’s so reasonable it would be good to try. So again you confirm that this sort of device is best used only on the mains.NOT on dac, amplifier or cd player...It will compress the sound....You want a better timbre without compression... 😊 Anywhere else, for example behind the speakers near the cable connectors... But to begin with try the power conditioner....Or the main electrical box in the room or house or the computer main router.... Electronics components work better and more safely at constant humidity level and that was the point..... Twoleftears wanted to mock people like usual and not knowing that he speak out of his 2 left brain about silly audiophile people measuring humidity... The speed of sound will not be a determinant factor between 40 and 75%....in an audible way.... This point was made by me for the best conservation of electronic pieces....Stay calm.... |
It is easy to verify that a field around the amplifier interact with all the pieces in the amplifier... Take a piece of shungite put it on the amplifier and you will hear a compressed sound, at best more dense sound... Take a piece of quartz put it at the same place you will hear a more decompressed sound at worst harsher... One of my series of experiments begins with that.... You can make the same experience with cables... @mahgister Your irony detector is malfunctioning.Absolutely not, i know first hand that you like sarcasm about any "tweak"... But sometimes your sarcasm propose an involuntary evident truth... Your sarcasm machine was under performing.... Humidity is not a good thing for any electronic device.... This is common sense...I keep my audio room to 50 %... Try common sense +sarcasm.... And use other qualification than "thin foil hat"....Try be be an adult.... |
