Pathos Logos

My Logos was working fine until the other day. As soon as the unit was ready, the volume sky rocketed to about max at 2 or 3 on volume knob. Turning the volume knob did not work well, had to shut the unit down so the speakers did not damage.
Has anyone seen this problem with Pathos Logos volume, appreciate any help you can give.

Thanks...had disconnected earlier and powered it, same problem.
trying to find a reliable place for service. Have called the distributor in NY but have not heard yet. Thanks for your help.
