I own a V-fet amp the Sony TA-N7B, and can only suscribe the sound of it as of a proper triode tube amplifier. Have tweaked around with (diy) hybrids amps (tube voltage and Mosfet output devices) 1969 John Linsley Hood 10W pseudocomplentary BJT amp, SE pentode, germanium complementary amps and am atm building a JLH like configuration with tubes (SEPP with EL34's and a autotransformer)
Unfortunately the TA-N7 is not that stable indeed even after swapping all mediocre parts (diodes, leaking caps, old low power BJT's in end cascode) Left channel can take max 50 watts before the driver stage dies, indeed parasitics could be a problem here.
