Parasound P 5 preamp How do you like it?

Let's go with a Swiss Army Knife and a Fillet Knife. May I suggest a session with some music or a therapist. Chill out man I am simply trying to get feedback on the P5.

I had a set of mono blocks Shengya Sp991 and one of the amps went to safe zone and no one could find the reason. The sp991 has two inputs RCA and XLR. I got an adaptor and plugged my Conrad Johnson RCA to the Shengya XLR inputs via the adaptors. That was the only change but sound improvement was so dramatic I swear I could hear the skins of the drums it was that clear. The amp ultimately died. I have a CD player, phono preamp, subwoofer and amp all that have both XLR and RCA outputs and inputs. But no preamp that has that flexibility. The parasound has that capability. So the question of the day is a parasound p5 on xlr better than the Conrad Johnson classic using RCA. I hate to spend $1100 to find out.

The Mc2120 is a back up to the shengya monoblocks. I would purchase a second mono block to replace the one that is locked up in safe mode. Actually I wish I could find a schematic for a Sp911 and simply fix the one I got.
