Opinions on the original Roksan Radius

A friend had one for years, asked me to give it a tune-up, so I had it for a couple of days. I was shocked at the poor quality. I realize it was a 'budget' model, but it was simply shoddy. The sound was poor too — though I suspect the Ortofon Red was largely to blame.

Seems overpriced at $1k. 

Thanks guys. I have a line on an older Xerxes with Artemiz, I think I'll go with that!

Make sure the Xerxes isn't sagging - that was a well known issue with them.  

On a side note would anyone know the screw bit required to remove the motor assembly?..I got a faulty on/off switch and need to remove the base from the bottom...Is it a torx bit and if so what size.The one at the bottom that hold the motor assembly to the player itself.
