I don't know the model description of your Anthem gear, of course, but since you mention a "processor" it should have a number of digital inputs (toslink and/or coaxial), correct? Then you'll just have to connect the dock to one of those, no need to use an additional DAC, the processor takes care of digital/analog conversion.
Onkyo ND-S1 ipod transport
Iam looking to buy Onkyo ND-S1 Ipod transport (online from Japan). This dock has only optical/coaxial outputs, no analog output. Will I be able to connect this dock directly to my Anthem processor. Or do I need a DAC in-between. Also, Iam thinking of connecting my laptop to the USB input of the dock - again do I need a DAC. You advise would be very helpful. Thanks.
