Onkyo M-5000R power amp Does it sound as good as it look?

Onkyo M-5000R power amp looks so awesome! I wonder if anybody seriously auditioned it? Is it comparable to other HiFi power amps in it's price category? Say Benchmark AHB2?

It sounds better. There was a rave review by Hi-Fi Choice some years back. IMHO that review was right on the money. It has a subjective impression of having vast power reserves. I would partner it with a tube pre-amp.
