I just did similar with my Node 2 .. coax out to the DAC in my tube-based system and Toslink out to my solid-state integrated in the same rack. Works great. No sound quality hit at all.
One Streamer Wired to Two Systems?
Sorry if I’m setting up for a”Duh!!” moment but here goes...
I’ve got a Node 2i that’s currently connected thru a Schiit Loki Mini + to my 2 channel system. I recently incorporated a wholly separate HT system into the same audio cabinet the 2 channel rig occupies and would like the ability to run the Node 2i thru this HT system on occasion (not concurrently with the 2 channel system). I don’t have any sort of “HT Pass-Thru” capability with the base model PrimaLuna integrated which is the heart of my 2 channel system and I don’t want to unplug/replug the streamer between systems before each use. Is there a “no sound quality tradeoff solution” in the form of some sort of switch box etc. that I could acquire to accomplish this and, if so, what brand/model of such a device would you recommend under $500 US?
Thanks in advance.
