"Sara Ullrika Watkins (born June 8, 1981) is an American singer-songwriter and fiddler. Watkins debuted in 1989 as fiddler and founding member of the progressive bluegrass group Nickel Creek along with her brother Sean and mandolinist Chris Thile. With Nickel Creek, Watkins released five studio albums, one compilation album, and seven singles. During the band's seven-year hiatus, Watkins released three solo albums: Sara Watkins and Sun Midnight Sun on Nonesuch Records and Young in All the Wrong Ways on New West Records.[3]"

RICHARD THOMPSON
Facebook Live Concert #1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhSt-WUKXvs

"Thompson first gained prominence in the late 1960s as the lead guitarist and songwriter for the folk rock group Fairport Convention, which he had co-founded in 1967. After departing the group in 1971, Thompson released his debut solo album Henry the Human Fly in 1972. The next year, he formed a duo with his then-wife Linda Thompson, which produced six albums, including the critically acclaimed I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight (1974) and Shoot Out the Lights (1982). After the dissolution of the duo, Thompson revived his solo career with the release of Hand of Kindness in 1983. He has released a total of eighteen solo studio albums. Three of his albums – Rumor and Sigh (1991), You? Me? Us?(1996), and Dream Attic (2010) – have been nominated for Grammy Awards[2], while Still (2015) was his first UK Top Ten album. He continues to write and record new material regularly and frequently performs live at venues throughout the world.

Music critic Neil McCormick described Thompson as "a versatile virtuoso guitarist and a sharp observational singer-songwriter whose work burns with intelligence and dark emotion".[3] His songwriting has earned him an Ivor Novello Award[4] and, in 2006, a lifetime achievement award from BBC Radio.[4][5] His 1991 song "1952 Vincent Black Lightning" was included in Time magazine’s "All Time 100 Songs" list of the best English-language musical compositions released between 1923 and 2011.[6] Thompson was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2011 New Year Honours for services to music.[7] Many varied musicians have recorded Thompson’s compositions.[8][9]"

BEN GLOVER
The Shelter Sessions
on Facebook Live
Episode 2 - 2nd April 2020

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gr5RYeyqay8

"Ben Glover might be a name country fans are already familiar with -- but, if so, get ready to meet a different Ben Glover than the Colorado-born Christian and country songwriter and producer. Irish singer-songwriter Ben Glover has tapped deep into his British Isle roots to merge them with his American music influences and deliver a Celtic-meets-bluegrass-meets-country sound that is uniquely his own.

Glover's new album, Shorebound (released on May 4), highlights his gritty singer-songwriter style, which memories of his fellow countryman Bono, with a little bit of Johnny Cash and Neil Young thrown in. Shorebound follow's Glover's 2016 album Emigrant but marks a turn in style for the artist as he emerges in Nashville."

He is a singer, guitarist, and songwriter, living in Nashville, Tennessee. He has been described as "a living link to the seminal Delta blues that travelled up the Mississippi River and across the expanse of America". The moniker "Keb Mo" was coined by his original drummer, Quentin Dennard, and picked up by his record label as a "street talk" abbreviation of his given name."

BONEY JAMES
Full Effect (Livestream)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mizQ2unIcBA

https://boneyjames.com

"Boney James (born James Oppenheim on September 1, 1961) is an American saxophonist, songwriter, and record producer.

Boney James is a four-time Grammy Award nominee (Best Pop Instrumental Album, 2001, 2004, 2014 and Best Traditional R&B Performance, 2009) and a Soul Train Award winner (Best Jazz Album 1998). He has also been honored with two NAACP Image Award nominations for Best Jazz Album.[1] James has sold over three million albums,[2] and has accumulated four RIAA Certified Gold Records. In 2009, Billboard magazine named James one of the Top 3 Billboard Contemporary Jazz Artists of the Decade.

According to the Boston Globe: "Let's make something perfectly clear: James is not a smooth jazz player. Yeah, he is often grouped with people like Kenny G and Najee, but his music is muscular and gritty, whereas most smooth jazz has all the texture and complexity of a cue ball...James swaggered across the stage like a blacktop hero draining treys on an overmatched opponent. He even weaved his way through the audience, never missing a beat and all but daring the crowd not to have a good time." "

wiki so I have included a range of her youtube videos.
Bonnie Raitt often mentions that she centers her albums
around a carefully chosen ballad. The 2012 double album
used a Bonnie Bishop song, "Not Cause I Wanted To" as
one of those ballads.

JACKSON BROWNE
A Little Soon To Say

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obCEL088SJw

"Browne told Rolling Stone: “I thought, ‘Just do that now.' Just put it out now, while these things are so uncertain.”

He also noted that "A Little Too Soon to Say" was inspired by other things happening in the world now, and that he was "thinking about the generation — the Parkland students, and Greta Thunberg, and the young people who have been very vocal, saying, ‘You’re not making any real attempt to change things in a way for us to have the planet you had.’ How do you pass this mess on to the next generation, the future generations?”

The song will show up as the B-side to “Downhill From Everywhere," which is scheduled for a vinyl and CD release on May 29.

Browne revealed yesterday that he tested positive for COVID-19, and has been self-quarantined in his Los Angeles home for the past 10 days. “As soon as I had a small cough and a temperature, I tested,” he said. “My symptoms are really pretty mild, so I don’t require any kind of medication and certainly not hospitalization or anything like that."

The 71-year-old singer-songwriter said he may have caught the virus when he was in New York two weeks ago for a performance at the Love Rocks NYC benefit concert."
