OMG - I am just investigating ‘tweaks’ to improve my audio system.

Dear @oregonpapa  : I understand you but in reality with a little care that can't happen if your electrical power line(s) are fully regulated and true bullet proof.

The rewars are really high and worth to do it and if you can at least you have to know why is worth to do it, why the best " path " is no fuse at input electronic items.

Obviously that it's a personal decision.

No. In  almost any electronic item after the fuse the elctrical power goes through a cable " some where " inside the item. So what I did was that my power cables goes directly inside and soldered at the place where goes the the original after fuse wire/cable.

Was the only way to really listen the diferences with a fuse and with out a fuse. He re is where I took in count all the added  fuses colorations.

as I said " nice " colorations but after listened with no fuses diferences are for the better with no fuse at all.
We have to have first hand experiences with no fuse to take in count what really happens down there.

Why those fuse colorations is something that some gentlemans tryed to explain with out not much sucess. A fuse size is around 2cm. on length and I read that for some people makes higher differences than an IC cable change.

I used all the SR fuses models but the orange and before the SRs other boutique fuses.

Every one has its own colorations that at the end are only added " nice " distortions that sounds just " diferent " of what we are accustom to.

My audio system electrical power supply is totally and secure/bullet proof regulated line, with filter noise levels and obviously surge protections.
So, I made it something to confirm or not if those boutique fuses are or not true snake oil and what I did was to take out/disappear all the input fuses in all the system electronic items and guess what: suddenly the listened MUSIC achieves its real and true rigthness ( like a live music. ) that all those boutique fuses not ever can dream because those boutique fuses only DISTORT the audio signal and are true SNAKE OIL no matters what.

Now, that many people as you like it what you listen just does not means is rigth because in reality is wrong with those added colorations/distortions. In the past I like those distortions till I learned.

Don't believe me and please do it your self a favor making what I did it. 

The snake oil issue of the orange SR or other that kind of fuse should not be only a matters of opinion but a test comparison against no fuse at all and till you don't have that first hand experiences about you just can't understand why your SRs are true snake oil devices.

Useless to argue about till you have your own first hand experiences and I'm totally sure that if you do it then never comeback: no-return ever.

Btw, I only take out the input fuses not some internal fuses that some electronics has.

Dear @tom8999 : This is today snake oil in fuses. We can read there in what ways change our system characteristics. It's as if we change the whole system for a totally new higher priced one. Way better than any other fuse in the world:

Maybe the orange with beeswax could outperform it.

Btw, you can start a new fuse thread with the beeswax ones and follow again the fuse'e party, a learning party.
