I recently purchased an Olive Symphony, which is identical to the Musica other than the HD size, and have been comparing it to a stock Denon 2900 using a moded P3a and a loaner Turbo moded ECD-1 on the dig. out's of both units. No question in my mind, the Olive is a much superior transport. With the Denon as transport the ECD-1 projects a larger, fuller and more musically sophisticated presentation than my humble P3a. Using the Sym/P3a combo the overall presentation is vitually that of the Denon/ECD-1, I was very impressed! I also noticed that the dramatic difference between the P3a and the ECD-1 was not as great when comparing the two using the Olive as transport. Sadly, the ECD-1 is now gone... I hope to hear even better results using an outboard HD and EAC/FLAC, but haven't gotten there yet...
