Old project/1 turntable; new rca cables

I recently purchased an OLD project/1 turntable with hardwired RCA cables and would like to solder new high end cables in their place. Has anyone been successful modifying an old turntable in this way?

thorman Details Discussions Posts This discussion Message User 1,262 posts 07-04-2008 at 11:43am Copy Comment URL Report Comment Edit Delete Yah I did a Thorens Td160 without any issues..Was having connectivity issues ( losing one channel ) and flippid the table over ,drilled to small 3/8" and Attatched ( backside of chassiss )on some nice Cardas Female RCA fittings and snipped off the old cables and Soldered the stub to the new RCAs and now I can use any Interconnects I want..Very easy and works very well and very cheap.......
