stax quattro 2
i have owned both and the quattro was superior in build quality ,sound and features, the cal aria 3s transport was noisy and slow and the transformer had a hum,the quattro 2 has fixed and variable outputs so no need for a preamp, a mdf wood base to limit vibration and a separate power supply section for dac and analoge output stages i sold mine to upgrade my pre power amps in 2003, looking back i wish i had not as they are rare, especially here in australia,if you can find one in good condition go for it even if its for a spare you wont be disapointed.
