Tboooe,
When either was switched in, the Heimdall IC's and SC's each made my system sound noticeably more accurate to my ears. Instruments sounded more correct to me.
With the IC's it was striking and I have tried many and have several to compare with. Most give the impression of "messing with the signal". The Heimdall did not. It was also exceedingly transparent, meaning my system sounded very transparent afterwards. The one possibly deviation from real was a slight sweetness to the upper mids and highs, which I absolutely love.
The Heimdall speaker cables were new out of the box. Again, they were very accurate sounding, very quick, very authorative, but very revealing in the midrange. I heard deeper into the instruments, but I felt I was hearing too much and didn't enjoy listening as much as with my other favorite SC's. I do attribute this to my good but mid-fi electronics. I heard a similar effect once when I tried a higher end Transparent interconnect on my CD Player.
