As Duane was saying, Lucas Niggli's Zoom will be playing at the Jazz House in Berkeley 6/27 & 6/28, and at Zebulon's Lounge in Petaluma on 6/25.
The gig in Petaluma will feature Married Couple, an excellent quartet from the S.F. bay area (sax, trombone, bass, and drums, see link below) followed by Lucas Niggli's Zoom.
The 27th at the Jazz House will feature the trio of Ches Smith, Devin Hoff (Good For Cows), and German guitarist Andreas Willers playing the first set, and then the trio of Lucas Niggli, Nils Wogram, and Philipp Schaufelberger (zoom!) will play the second set.
The 28th at the Jazz House will feature a quintet with the three members of Zoom and two outstanding Bay Area musicians - Aaron Germain (bass) and Cornelius Boots (bass clarinet) playing all original tunes for both sets, with a break somewhere in between.
If you live anywhere near either of these venues, you owe it to yourself to come and check these guys out. It's going to be well worth the tiny ticket cost, and even a few hours on the road. This kind of stuff just doesn't happen every day.
