Ninak with 2x LK140 adkit, worth the $ to go 3x aktiv?

hello Audiophiles
for a few years now I have a Linn set with a preamp/dac feeding into 2x LK140 with the aktiv cards. 
much fun and I like sound … but one of my aktiv base cards stopped working...
so I am contemplating, repair it and while at it add a 3rd amp? with cabes, cards etc abut  $800..
since I cannot find aktiv cards used any more, guess I have to pay the dealer.. 
had the set for 12 years, maybe it's time for an upgrade?
while they have nice resolution and good slam and rhythm, I miss the wide and deep stereo image (I had Dynautio's before)… 
I could run the apms in mono (using  a split XLR symmetric output) and drive different speakers.. or / or / or
