Nikki Yanofsky's "Nikki"

Has anyone else run across this gem? On a whim I picked up Nikki Yanofsky's second album entitled "Nikki" and was pleasantly impressed. Singing a combination of jazz covers and original material she leaves a strong impression of being quite the upcoming talent.

Nikki has a powerful, well controlled voice with excellent articulation for someone so young. She even scats like a seasoned pro. Reading the liner notes after listening to the album it was apparent others also think highly of her. The album was produced by Phil Ramone and writer Jesse Harris collaborated with Ms. Yanofsky.

This one is worth a listen.
