FWIW upgrading the bartok to the Apex version is, to my ears, a very significant improvement
might be worth considering
Next Upgrade? DCS Rossini or Dagostino Progression Integrated
Looking for opinions on next move. Current set up:
1.MAC MA8900,
2.DCS Bartok (non Apex),
3. Sonus Faber Electa Amator 3
Due to room constraints, and recent purchase, I'm not changing speakers at this time. Considering 1 of 2 upgrades.
-Dan Dagostino Integrated Progression (Used) or a DCS Rossini non Apex used? Dollars wise about the same amount after trade in. I really like the MAC sound, and the power is plenty for the speakers. However Im intrigued with the Dag IA, and the improvements it provides in headspace and different sound character. Not sure the Rossini will be a large enough improvement over the Bartok. Anyone familiar with these pieces and have thoughts?
