Tim, Thanks for the answer. It took a while to upload.

Anyone,
I was ready to place an order but the listing on audiogon says that “this listing has ended”. Further I sent two questions today around 12:00 pm and about 20 minutes ago and have not received a response. Anyone know what is going on?
Thanks |
Tim Mrock,
First, I needed to know the following. Does a Total Contact treated connection that is disconnected need to be cleansed of the previous Total Contract treatment and then re treated prior to being reconnected? or does it needs to be retreated at all?
Second, I re check at audiogon listing and it does seem to be active again.
Thanks |
Tim,
Thank you for your prompt responses. |
Tim,
I am scheduled to get the total contact today. I just need to know if I need to “clean” off the applicator brush or do I leave the residual from the application on it? If so, do I need to put it in a ziplock bag to keep it “hydrated”? If I need to remove the residual, do I use rubbing alcohol?
Thanks |
Tim,
Thank you for your prompt responses. |
Tim,
A video would be be greatly appreciated.
Thanks |
Tim,
I applied the TC to the interconnects and the speaker cables in my office system last night but I really had no time to listen. That is as far as I dare go until we speak later.
Have been working and listening for about an hour and here are some quick observations:
1. lower noise floor 2. insruments resonate more fully. 3. Music sounds more organic and detailed.
So far so good, nothing negative only positive so far.
thanks
|
Tim,
Thanks for walking me the process on the power chord treatment and usb connect treatment.
After this treatment together with earlier treatment, I find the improvements to be cumulative. All previous improvements are definitely more focused. Further the bass has tightened up significantly and is more tuneful.
The bottom line is, the music has better pace and is more engaging without any negatives.
I have spent more for less improvement in years past. I will let know when I dive into my main system and if I hear any improvements at the four week period.
Thanks |
Frank,
I just wanted to let you know that your enthusiasm got me interested in the product. The science links put me over the top.
I am enjoying the music.
Greatly appreciated. |
Tim,
I just treated only my CD player interconnects and it’s power cord in the main system. It seems that the immediate impact that the TC has is that it drops the noise floor. Associated with that, the base is tightened up and the mid and upper frequencies become better focused. I would say more organic.
The best part is that the character and frequency balance of both systems have not gotten hurt in any way. They just get better.
I just upgraded power chords, power conditioning and some interconnects within the last 2 years, not cheap, and I was satisfied with all those upgrades. I also have also elevated all my components and speakers on Stillpoint ss and minis. I was a bit sceptical however, that this product has been able to reveal more musical detail without any negative sides. I seems as if I upgraded a power chord or added Stillpoints in the system.
This product is as advertised so far. Even if it does not improve as previously mentioned, I am very happy with the results so far. I will keep you posted as I go.
Thanks |
Ron,
I did “invest” a lot into all the upgrades and components over the years and found this to be a huge bargain for the gains we are getting thus far. I’m glad I took a chance on it.
Enjoy the music!
RC |
Tim, I treated the Audience AR2p TO power conditioner and the Audience power cord AU24 SEi going to an eichman powerstrip, that my main system plugs into. As mentioned in my last post, the CD player that I treatmented last night, also plugs into this powerstrip. That improvement by itself was quite noticible. Now, combined with this treatment, I can safely say that the improvements in clarity and dynamics are cumulative.
I went though this as I was upgrading power chords, interconnects, and adding the Stillpoints over a two year period. The main difference is that each TC application maximizes each of these already quality upgrades for so little money.
After just about five days, I can say that this stuff is a bargain, even if it does not get any better after “break in”.
I will continue to treat different links in the chain and report back.
Thanks
|
Ronrags,
You observations are dead on about Tim and the sound characteristics brought about by TC.
Thanks, Resolution1
|
Tim,
I have a question in regard to “break in”. Does the “break in” period require current to be flowing through the connections in order for it to occur within the 4 an 8 week periods?
Thanks |
Tim and Frank,
I will be visiting with a friend that might like to try the TC. Knowing him well, the first question he will ask is of the break in pattern after the initial application. Would you describe it as a slight or steep improvement between the initial application and week 4, or does it stay level then jump at 4 weeks?
Finally, should I treat the power connections in the system in order to provide the best sample demonstration? So far the power chords have provided the most dramatic improvements in both of my systems.
Thanks
|
soundlogic,
When I ordered, Tim sent me an email confirmation/tracking number within a day. It took another day for the product to get to the post office. After that I was able to track the progress. Once I got it, I had some application questions. I called the phone number on the instructions and he was very responsive and helpful.

Application to XLR and other strange connectors.
If anyone has XLR termination on their interconnects or serial terminationated unbiblicals, I suggest you get in touch with Tim for specific instructions. He was very helpful and specific about the process. This one of the reasons it has taken so long to complete my system. It is slow and tedious but well worth it.
I hope this helps that has these “issues”
resolution1 |
Tim,
I just completed my office system power chord connections. I was not expecting a whole lot since my office system is not as resolving as my main system but it made a significant step up in clarity, PRAT, dynamics, soundstage etc.... It sounds way better than it should. The power strip is a ten year old Office Depot $20.00 special! That’s my next upgrade.
I will let you know when I complete the main system. That should be interesting.
Thanks for for a great product! |
David,
I had a similar experience with my opus 21 CD player. Not with fuses but with the umbilical, power chord, and interconnect. They were the first treatments in my main system. The timing seemed off. I removed 2 of the five still points from under the transport and it got a little better. However, I stated listing to the same rotation this evening and I was shocked as to how much better it sounded after 72 hours from the initial application. It may be a break in issue?
One of the advantages of taking it one component at a time is that we can hear how it effects each component thus being able evaluate the break in. In my case it worked out well, since I don’t think I could have removed the product from those small sockets.
rc |
Tim,
It is day 6 and I am am working at my desk listening to the office system and I am experiencing something I did not expect in sound quality improvement since yesterday. The noise floor seems to have dropped further. This has allowed the musical detail from the low to high frequencies to play in a natural dynamic fashion, without any glare. It is even more organic an real.
rc |
@klh007,
I applied TC just to the outside of my USB connections, as Tim directed, and noticed an improvement. I use an Audioquest diamond coming from my Mac to my fav. It removed a lot of glare from the music.
rc
|
Frank,
The outside of the connections not the cables.

Update;
My office system has been completely treated since Sunday and have found the bass deeper and more tuneful. This is coming from a 3” single driver audience The one V2 speaker. The rest of the frequency spectrum is still magnificent. The best thing so far is that I have heard no I’ll effects or back sliding on any of the improvements.
My main system is still not completely treated but will be completed by this weekend. However the bass has displayed the same deepening and tuneful improvements. Notes resonate more fully and are more decernable and thus I work less at completing notes in my mind which helps in longer more enjoyable listening sessions.
So far no regrets at all.
rc |
Update,
I treated the speaker cables with TC. I immediately noticed more resolution from all the previous applications. I am able to enjoy the music at lower volume levels without missing a beat. The best part is that when I do turn up the volume, I am less likely to turn it down since the digital glare is deminished so much.
It is if I upgraded my speaker cables. The cables are Audience Conductor SE running from a DNM amp To Audience 1+1 V2+ speakers.
I have yet to treat any interconnects to the Pre amp and Amp and power cables other than my CD player and power contioner and power strip. This Is due to my cautious nature, plus I got down the rabbit hole of listening to music. Oh ya, that’s what we do this for!
So far I have enjoyed every step along the way. Like reported earlier, I went through this as I upgraded power cables, power conditioners, interconnects, speakers and floating my components on Stillpoints over the last 2 years. I did not think that this product would make this kind of difference in resolution and musicality. I am not suggesting that anyone should not upgrade components, speakers, interconnects, power cables etc. I just think that so far that this material makes the most of any upgrade I have made in both of my systems without changing the basic character. I will report again as I treat more of my main system, if I can stop listening to music long enough.
One more note, I did not enter into this lightly, since my more experienced friends/professionals cautioned me, that some of the other contact enhancers previously mentioned in this thread have had varying degree of success and possible degradation problems overtime. This is why I have been so cautious in diving in to my priciest components where it would be more more difficult to remove.
I hope this helps,
rc

Frank and Ron,
Most of the initial feedback has been very similar to mine. I had a vague idea of of what the improvements might be in relation to noise reduction but I did not expect to what extent that the noise floor and digital glare was reduced.
I will try to put it into perspective. As I have mentioned in prior posts, I just completed several interconnect, powered chord, power conditioning, and still point upgrades over a two year period. Each time I was able to do in home evaluation in each of my systems. I would not have purchased any of these items for fanthom improvements because I trust my own ears and spend wisely. Thus, this is the most risk I have taken in any Hi-Fi purchase, and so far one of the most rewarding so far, for the money.
rc
|
Tim, Frank and Ron,
One of of the reasons I decided to do all this upgrading in the last couple of years was because hearing loss runs in the family. So I was wanting get better clarity from my hi-fi before I had any serious hearing loss. Therefore, I was and am serious about these upgrades and I have rejected a few tweaks/equipment along the way.
As stated before, this product has taken all the previous upgrades I have done to my system and clarified them further without any drawbacks. It simply helps equipment, wires etc... get out way and brings out soul of the music.
All along the way I have judged how my hi-fi plays music vs live music. The TC has helped my hi-fi get closer to this ideal. The bottom line is I am listening to more and more music and it sounds great to me. Thanks for getting this product out there
rc |
Update;
I treated the flat screen power chord (stock chord and no power conditioning) and the dnm interconnect to the dnm preamp with the TC on Sunday afternoon. I did not give it much thought, since I had not watched much television. However on Monday evening after about a five minutes of watching a basketball game, I was pleasantly surprised as to the amount of detail and clarity in the audio. It was definitely not on par with the hi-fi but still noticeable and easier to listen to.
I noticed only a slight improvement on the picture but it’s a nice bonus.
This product keeps on giving positive results.
rc |
Tim,
You may have seen this already, it looks like $250.00 for one duplex outlet treated with Graphene, for what I have been able to treat two systems and I will still have some left over when I am finished.
Black UEF Duplex treated with Graphene. the claims are similar.
rc
|
Tim,
I installed an audio grade duplex outlet, without any TC treatment (cost $80.00), about 6 months ago and it was a nice upgrade in musical resolution. However, after treating the Audience aRP2-TO power conditioner plugs last week with TC and just plugging it back in, it was an upgrade equal to those two upgrades together.
So far so good!
rc |
Geoffkait,
Ya, it has had 20 yers to break in😂🤣
rc |
Frank,
I had not thought of that. The logic is sound. I will do that once I am done with the rest of the main system then treat the same audio grade duplex in the office system as well as the standard builder grade duplex that the TVs are plugged into. That ought to be a fun experiment. I will let you know the results when I get to it.
Thanks,
rc |
Ozzy,
In the office system: All Audience power chords, 1- Powerchord SEi and 1- AU 24SEi MP, aR2p power conditioner, Audience OHNO interconnect, an Office Depot (I know a bottleneck) powerstrip and an Audio quest diamond usb to the Dac.
Rc
|
Folkfreak,
The last thing I wanted to do was crawl behind the equipment again and do all this stuff but after I changed out the duplex outlet and got the gains in resolution that I got, application did not seem so bad.
As as per the isolation vs power cleanup, I can only tell you about a story involving Still points. I had just gotten the Audience the Ones V2, in the office, and the 1+1 V2+ in the main system. All was fine, but I thought it could use further resolution, so I got four boxes of stillpoint minis, for a week and half long trial from my dealer/friend to float the speakers As per the stillpoint hierarchy.
Within 4 days I removed them from both systems since I got an ear ache after listening to both systems almost immediately. My dealer had never encountered this in his many years of experience. At that time I asked if I could try out an Audience power cable for a couple of days and it was a substantial improvement, at the time. To make a long story short, the the power got cleaner, over about a year of cable replacements. The stillpoints came back using their hierarchy. They are finally under all components of both systems and no ear aches.
This might be the reason that the TC treatments have made such a profound effect in my system. I’m glad I took the plung.
I hope this this helps some,
rc |
Tommylion,
I am am having a great time listening and trying out new music. The only complaint I have is that I am listening longer into the night and losing sleep but that is on me.
rc
|
Tim,
Will there be an example on how to do that in the you tube video? I looks like I will still have enough to do the breaker box connections after I complete the main system. With the help of my electrician!
rc |
Tim,
Perfectly understood from a liability standpoint. I will call you when I get closer to doing it. Your instructions over the phone were easy enough to follow, on the specialized interconnects I have, in the beginning.
Thanks
rc |
Frank and brigoul,
I used it only on the onside of my USB A&B connections. That along with the speaker cables were the first connections that I treated in my office system and found that to make a significant reduction in the digital glare/hardness I was hearing. My hands are not that steady to go inside.
good luck.
rc |
TC Update,
I finally completed treating all power cables and thier accompanying power supply cables to the DNM preamp and power amps, in my main system, this evening.
The improvement in the size of the sound stage and musical detail are substantial. It seems as if the notes seem to play with more follow through and drive as the noise floor drops. The instruments are more life like and more organic. This makes the music much easier to enjoy for hours at a time.
This latest layer of improvement was quite a surprise since the powerstrip and power conditioner had already been treated. However, as my dealer/friend once told me “corrupt power corrupts absolutely”
So far I have not heard any drawbacks in my office and main systems from the treatments.
I will complete the interconnects as time, energy and musical enjoyment allows. They are a little more challenging since they are 5 pin din connectors.
Amazing stuff.
rc |
David,
my 86 year old mother lives with our family too and went totally blind just three years ago but she still loves to listen to to tv programming. She also has hearing aids and thus needs the clearest sound possible so I will be treating the tv in her room tomorrow.
She he has been a blessing to us.
Keep up the good work,
rc |
barbapapa,
“Contact” is one of my favorite movies too. One of my favorite lines in the movie is when Jodi Foster’s blind colleague says “There is more here!” As he listens to the alien message. He had probably used “Total contact” on his headphone system.😱

Update,
I hit the 4 week point in the office system for the speaker cables, interconnects and the usb cable to the dac. The best way I can describe it is that the music sounds more organic while the sound stage has as well. The noise floor seems to have dropped as well which give better definition to instruments and vocals. Referring back to my earlier upgrades of power chords, stillpoints and interconnects etc., it seems as if I upgraded a power chord and placed a set of stillpoints under my dac. Considering that that cost about $1,200.00, this is a bargain.
Again, I do not think that TC is a replacement for any of these upgrades but a bargain upgrade for both of my systems without any downsides to date.
For what it’s worth One dealer/friend I spoke to last week said he wants to check back with me in another 9 months just to make sure that none of the product degradations that have plagued previous “contact enhancers” mentioned in this forum. I understand his sceptisism since he has tried all those previous products. This is the main reason I have not treated a non reversible (in my estimation) application to my 5 din connections on my preamp interconnects.
Another dealer/friend came by to work on my turntable and said that the CD player, whose umbilical and power chord I treated 3 weeks ago, got awfully close to the turntable on the same cuts of music.
By the way both dealers have over 35 years experience each in the industry.
rc |
Frank,
I was really surprised (in a good way) at the reaction of both of these hifi professionals. As jaded as they are with previous contact enhancers, they are still very open minded and curious about what the long term results will be. Both have never experimented with their loyal clientele, thus I never was exposed to those previous contact enhancers. The only substances that they ever recommend I use is the dioxit cleaner and/or alcohol. For that I am grateful.
With respect to the curing time.I actually noticed a significant improvement three to four days prior to the full four week period.
As for my current level of enjoyment with both my systems, it is way beyond what I thought this product would do, since I had just come off some serious $ tweaks previously mentioned.
Initially, I thought that your review was slightly exaggerated, but as the product has cured to the four week period, I can understand that you were just excited. I thank you for putting yourself out there and endorsing TC. I am having a great time enjoying the music.
rc |
Frank,
Hope the healing is going well.
I will definitely keep you guys up to date on my systems performance in relation to TC.
rc |
CD player treatment update, I had almost forgotten that I had treated the umbilical from the dac to the power supply and the power chord to the powerstrip one day after I treated the office system. Last night I was listening and was very surprised about two things.
One, the music selection had always sounded too congested, bright, grainy... in the high frequencies and I thought that it was just a bad cd recording. Immediately after the TC treatment I found it more palatable and less grainy. I play it once a week, because I like the song. What caught me off guard was that, what I thought was grain, were cymbal strikes resonating in the background. Unbelievable.
Second, the soundstage also opened up to a large degree. Nice.
rc |
Frank,
I had my Linn LP 12 tuned up and you are right on, about the new life that The TC brings to the table ( pun intended). I treated the umbilical from the Lingo power supply and the power chord about a week and a half ago and that was an eye opener once the tune up was complete. The bass is much more tuneful as well as the rest of frequency range. The dynamics have also improved some.
This dealer/friend, who has also tried various contact enhancers throughout the years, also suggested that I wait to treat the cartridge pins till we are sure that no product degradation occurs and I will heed to his advice for now, since he is the only one that has ever touched my Linn. At about eight weeks, I will have him come out to evaluate the system and the contacts treated with the TC. At that time if he thinks it would be safe to treat, I will have him do it.
As for the bass, I noticed that it is much more tuneful and better defined. I mentioned this because I use the Audience V2+ speakers in a fairly large room without a subwoofer. These speakes use only a pair of 3” drivers for the entire frequency spectrum. Go figure.
Enjoy the music.

Tommylion
I am beginning to sense that too. I Was fortunate to be able to audition two very different high end systems two weeks ago at the local dealers. One using fully upgraded Tocaros and one using High end Magicos. Both are way beyond my pay grade, but both unique and enjoyable.
After sessions like this, it is usually hard to go back to my system and not compare it to what I just experienced, and feel a little let down with my system. Since the TC applications however, I have been able to discern more of the qualities (PRaT, clarity, bass, etc...) that I like in those high systems, in mine. By no means is my system as good as those, but I think it is WAY closer than what it was without the TC. in a way I am glad that they have not treated their systems YET.
Frank,
I really have enjoyed the staggered TC curing in the last couple of days as well, since that is how my applications worked out. I will keep you posted. This is product has been everything you and others have said. It is the upgrade that keeps on giving.

Grannyring,
I progressed on my two systems slowly. I also took time to get used to the sound each step of the way to see if it was something I liked. In my case I liked it. The one thing I realized was that the noise floor dropped so much that I could turn the sound up and hear musical detail that I did not know was there. What I heard were notes more naturally following through. It was like going from an mp3 to a cd. The good thing is that it is reversible. As tommylion said, wait the four weeks, you might be surprised how the musical picture focuses over that time period.
Rc |
Eight weeks on my CD player and power chords on my main system and tommylion has it right on. Even coming off a left ear infection where I can not fully hear out of that ear, it is highly noticeable. I have been able to turn down the volume and still get the detail.
As I get my full hearing back I will be more specific.
Thanks for bringing it to market.
rc |
Rotaryphone,
I was wary as well. But I am glad I did purchase and applied the product. The four week curing/breakin period did come with a nice focus and overall clarity. I am coming up on the eight week time frame and so far I have not had any negative things to report. Now with my hearing back I can settle in for the official, to the day, eight week curing on my main system. leading up to the eight weeks, the clarity and 3D qualities that have been discussed by others are real to me.
I look forward to learn what your findings are.
Geoffkait,
I was too sick sick and too busy to mess with any other tweaking so I will and have been reporting strictly on the TC application as the only variable.
Further, I would like learn if you have any luck with the ribbon interconnects. I have those too between my DNM Amp and Pre amp and their respective power supplies. You first!
