New Tab Benoit disc-- "Sea Saint Sessions"
From the beginning of the first track, when the muting shuts off and you hear about a second of genuine tape hiss, it's apparent this is a little different approach to recording.
Minimal (in any) overdubbing, straight to tape on one take (listen for a verbal miscue now and then for fun). Same studio as Wetlands, a little more "raw" recording.
There is some really great original material on this album to augment the covers and really only one or two clunkers.
If you liked "Wetlands", go get this. Tab is finally coming into his own.
** I am not now, nor have I ever been, Tab Benoit. I am in no way affiliated with Tab Benoit or Sea Saint Studios or whatever the record label is.
