Not certain how many/any here would be interested in this, but I got a new CD yesterday, playing it at the moment, and it exceeds what I thought it might be by such an extent that I thought it worth saying so here. Its Jimmie Dale Gilmore and Dave Alvin, called Downey to Lubbock, and truly a highlight of the year so far for me. Beautiful music, beautiful voices, beautiful sounding, just a charm.
