New Magico A1 Bookshelf Speakers!

Looking at the design, it's a kinda modern interpretation of classic standmount designs. Dont think that was intended, but sealed enclosure, relatively wide baffle(for a modern design) and fairly nondescript look - is growing on me 

@gtlatsis  Did you manage to have a demo of the A1? If so, what did you think? Can these speakers actually sound good on a bookshelf against a wall?

Unfortunately, I have not gotten the chance to demo the A1s.  

So far, Magico does not have a dealer in the state of Colorado. Closest one is in New Mexico.

Which does not make me feel comfortable if a brand is not even local.

Go figure.

I called the local dealer the other day and they have the A1 available for demo. I will go have a listen. I was told that the speakers can be placed close to a wall on a bookshelf but it will not sound nearly as good as on stands with a little distance to the back wall. I was wondering if the sealed design made placement different from rear ported designs.

I was planning on putting a bigger speaker in my office but a bigger room opened up for that so now I am going to circle back on monitors, like the A1, which are more appropriate for the smaller space.
