New Class D amplifiers

After auditioning Orchard Audio Starkrimson Ultra for 8 days, I had been listening to Line Magnetic 508 and Rogue Cronus Magnum II fitted with vintage tubes.

8 days is too short to reach clear conclusionl without doing cable rolling or comparsion with other refutable class D amp like Atmashphere or Audion.


But Starkrimson clearly has no serious fault at all.

It sounds very transparent with lot of details.

Soundstage is wide and deep enough ( not the best but close to it).



Starkrimson works nice with both Lansche 4.1 and Vaugn Cabernett II.

Thus it is a nice value for sure.

I recommend you try it by being in the line for tour.

I do not understand what you are talking about.

In my area the voltage swing around 122 v.

But I had never noticed any problem with Starkrimson Ultra for 8 days.

I can not tell which of Atma, Audion, Starkrimson will work better with my speaker yet.

But if you are curious about Class D amp, just be in line for tour of Starkrimson.

If there are local dealer of Audion, Atma, I will be happy to do home audition for 2-3 days, but no dealer of them aroung Seattle area.

By the way one gentleman with Atma D will visit my house with his amp sometime next week

Then I will have chance to compare  Starkrimson monoblocks with Atma D.

I use Freya+ with Starkrimson monoblocks.

Whenever I use different tubes, it change tones.

I can make it sound fuller or sharper depending on vintage tubes.

Fortunately, I have more than 80 diffferent kinds of 6sn7 and variants.😀
