Current source is the Oppo 103, bought three years ago. Would greatly appreciate any and all comments on buying a better-sounding CDP, or buying a better-sounding DAC and using the 103 as a transport. Thanks in advance!
Not sure what your budget is, but when I was in your situation I was advised to get a DAC. For the money you will spend on a CDP, you can use it to get a better DAC than what you could get onboard.
So get a decent DAC and use the Oppo as a transport.
