My understanding is that the old Virgo-$5,500-is discontinued and a new Virgo-$6,000 or more-is due out soon. Does anyone know when this might be coming out and what the changes are likely to be? Thanks.
According to the July or August issue of Stereophile, the "old" Virgo will still be produced, and the "new" Virgo will be an upgraded model at a higher price point. I seem to remember a bigger price difference than what you mention above.
I read that the new virgo will have a base retail of 5800 and the old virgo will be reduced down to 4500. I would hazard to guess they company will soon remove it from the product line. The old virgo is still one of the best speakers I've ever heard.
