You must hear how well components sound together.This is the only way to garantee the best sound.The perfect system is put together in a soundroom never just on a piece of paper.

New to "mid-fi". Need a starting point for selecting pre-amp and cd player. Have done exstensive research for approx. 6 mos. before making first purchases consisting of Aragon 4002, 100 wpc and psb Stratus Mini's. Have considered Sonic Frontiers SFL-1 line stage, McIntosh C-28, Aragon 24k for pre-amps and have only gotten so far as California Audio Labs DX-2 for cd. Would tube pre-amp be advisable? Any and all experienced advice appreciated.
