Need Opinions for Different Cable Manufacturers/Cable Designs

I have a McIntosh 200wpc receiver [MAC7200] and Focal Sopra 3 speakers - and am using low-grade cables. I'm looking to vastly improve my system with a complete cable upgrade. I like a warm sound with lots of clarity and detail and naturalness. I have been reviewing tons of literature and am intrigued by Cu/Ag and Cu/Ag/Au combinations. I will probably buy used, and look at offerings in the midrange to lower high-end range of products. Cannot afford the best each manufacturer has to offer. Looking to spend up to $2,000 for 3m speaker cables and up to $700 each for RCA and XLR cables. Again, I hope to buy used.

I am interested in opinions on the following manufacturers:

AUDIENCE

DH LABS

PURIST AUDIO DESIGN

SILNOTE

SNAKE RIVER

Please feel free to offer your opinions on these and any other recommendations you may have. I really appreciate your time and advice!! Thanks!

+1 on Cardas

Morrow Audio

Focals (I’ve heard a few types, dug them) are fast/bright and kick butt. Treat room????

I, also would add Shunyata to the list.Try to audition first,at different price points.

I have Audience Au24SE speaker cables and RCA interconnects in my system. I'm also using their Studio One jumpers. The Au24SE's are, of course, an older version of these cables but I'm very pleased with them and not in any hurry to upgrade. Previous cables included Cardas Golden Reference, Clarus Aqua, and Analysis Plus Big Silver Ovals. The Audience cables offer me so much more of what I want to hear: richness without compromising detail and a quality that I especially appreciate: "composure," (for lack of a better word). What I mean by this is that there's a controlled presentation up and down the frequency spectrum that doesn't descend into harshness or brashness when the music gets dense or complicated. My previous cables didn't accomplish this anywhere near to the extent that the Audience cables do.

I've seen the Au24SE speaker cables used for under 1K (though this is for 1M lengths) and the current Au24SX ones going for between $1500 and $2000. (There's currently a 3M pair of these for sale on the "other" site for just under 2K).

Hope you find this helpful.

The Cable Company has a library where one can audition cables so you can find the cables that fit your wallet and system. Happy hunting
