Need Help With Presonus AudioBox USB

I have an AudioBox USB 96 but I'm experiencing some bad things. I tried to use it with ordinary microphones (not condenser), electret and dynamic and the result is awful. It has a lot of noise, and not just ordinary noise, but constantly about each second, its a pf, pf, pf. It doesn't matter if I'm activating the 48v or not, it's the same, no difference. Practically I can't use this audio box, as it sound inifite better with the soundcard from PC motherboard. This sounds quite hillarious, because as long as an audio box is a dedicated sound card, in my opinion should sound much better than an integrated sound card from a PC motherboard. So, what I'm doing wrong? Is this Presonus Audio Box only for condenser microphones? Is a dynamic microphone not compatible with this audio box? Any advice will be much appreciated. I have to mension I have tested the audio box with various microphones from various brands, Trust, Sony, T-Bone... all sounds awful... I used a converter to jack and plugged-in them to my integrated soundcard on PC and they sound really great... Is Presonus Audiobox garbage?
