Need help with Elac Discovery Connect

I'm having trouble using my new Elac Discovery Connect with my Elac Discovery music server. Any advice would be appreciated.

I bought it three weeks ago from The Music Room. I followed the directions in the manual and have connected it to several different systems, but no sound will come out of it. I'm not sure if I'm missing something or the device isn't working, though TMR assured me they tested it and it worked for them.

I've contacted tech-support at The Music Room, but they don't seem interested in walking me through it or helping me. He just emails me that I can return it, but won't talk to me on the phone, or even provide any guidance by email. Here's the email I sent to them:

"Hi Peter, I spent much of another day messing around with the Discovery Connect without success. To repeat and for detail clarification: I already have two Discovery Music servers, one in my living room and one in my guest house, both connected to my Wi-Fi mesh routers via ethernet cable. They are working fine. I purchased the Connect to put in the bedroom, with the intent of streaming from one of the music servers via Wi-Fi to the Connect. Isn’t that what the Connect is designed for?

I followed the instructions in the manual to the best of my ability. I'm not sure if I'm missing something, or if there's something wrong with my unit.   I've tried connecting the Connect via analog and also both digital outputs to a variety of electronics and speakers, and I can't get any sound to play when I play a song from my Discovery Music server from Tidal using Roon Essentials [16/44].

I've downloaded the Connect app, it has latest software update, and when I open the Discovery music server app and go to ‘Audio’ in settings, it shows the Connect and all outputs are enabled, and the Connect is hooked up to my Wi-Fi system, as shown in the app. In the Connect app I've enabled everything. I’ve tried both coax and Toslink digital connections from the Connect to a receiver, and then out from the receiver to a speaker, but no sound. I have also tried outputting from the Connect digital outputs to a preamp that has a DAC inside, and from there through line level out to a powered speaker, still no sound. I even tried the Connect's analog outputs into a preamp, and from there to a powered speaker, but still no sound. I’ve tried a bunch of different cables just to make sure the cables aren't a problem, and they don't seem to be.
[I've used it with Wi-Fi and with ethernet connection. I even put it in my main system by removing the digital cable from my Discovery music server while it was playing music and plugging the cable into the digital output of the connect. No sound.]
Wondering if you have any further ideas. Thanks, Richard"

Elac no longer provides tech-support on the phone, but rather asks you to provide information for a support ticket. It's been almost 2 weeks since I did so, but they have not responded, other than to say they received my support request. If I can get it working I'd like to, as it is exactly what I am looking for, but if I can't I guess I'll have to return it. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
