They were made in Denmark, and its rumored that Gryphon either made or designed them. The integrated amp looks identical to the Gryphon Tabu. Neither company confirmed (or denied, I believe) that they had anything to do with each other.
To my ears, the S series integrated amp sounded far better than the rest of the stuff. I don't recall any complaints about it or the other stuff. Not sure if there's still parts available for them as they were made in the mid 90's I think.
