Need a Volume Pot Bypass Walkthrough

I'm planning to bypass the pot on my Miniwatt N3. My questions are:

1. Which pins on the pot do I solder together? (Looking at it from the back of the pot. Which one is ground?)

2. Should I be concerned about not wiring in a resistor or attaching it to ground? In terms of damaging the amp etc.

3. What type of wire and solder should I use?
