Nakamichi high-com II in record chain only or listening / record chain (vinyl source only)

Hello,

I just picked up a Nakamichi high-com II in great shape.  I would like to use it in front of my TASCAM Pro CD recorder when I sometimes record vinyl source to CD.  The question is (for those of you who have experience with this unit), would you put this between your phono preamp out and preamp in for daily phono listening or just in the tape loop for recording?  I've heard the high-com is good but good enough to use for playback and recording of vinyl?

Thanks,

Scott

Huh, I guess I misunderstood the function of this device or the way people were using it. Wonder if I will keep it. I do like the analog vu meters that will match the rest of my system.
