Nagra, PL-L

So, been using an Aesthetix, Calypso (Sig) for a long while & think it's superb. Have a chance to audition & ultimately purchase a Nagra, PL-L. I've read some glowing reviews and some perplexing ones. Always wanted to try Nagra components and wondering, from members who have owned this piece, what your impressions were/are of the PL-L. Have to admit, the Calypso Sig is really good and I love it but, the allure of Swiss Nagra gear has a hold on me.

Its really good, i use my PL-L with multiple power supply.I thing its good duo. 
In fact, the device is not closed, you can always replace the tubes with some NOS, or others and you will get a different sound. "Neverending Story". I recommend.

Hi bgross, wondering if you made the jump to the Nagra PL-L?

I did not however, my god, what a phenomenal piece of equipment. Gave it some strong thought but in the end ityr Nagra was a lot of money and I just couldn't justify it right now. The owner sold it soon after I returned it so, I dodged that Swiss bullet, lol.
