NAD PP-2+Regulated Power Supply

The stock Nad PP-2 phono stage comes with a little wall-wart unregulated power pack that is rated at 24VDC 100mA.I see that Brit Audio offers an upgrade to this with either a 24VDC 400mA pack or a 24VDC 1Amp pack.These are still unregulated power supplies.Would it not be better to do the power supply as a regulated one as I have done by adding a 24VDC 1Amp Regulated power supply?Is not the constant voltage of more importance than boosting the current as the unit will draw what current it needs from the regulated supply,or am I missing something?
