Musical Fidelity Trivista 21 DAC for musical fidelity A5 cd player

Hello all!

Just wanted to throw this out there. I currently run a MF A5 CD player and am very happy with it. Would using the MF trivista 21 DAC improve the sound in any way? Does the trivista DAC have a much better chipset/ processor capability than the A5 as a stand alone?

Thanks in advance!

@skipper320 Hi,The Nu-Vista and Tri-Vista MF products are very highly regarded and another reflection of Anthony Michaelson’s innovation.

Nu-Vista and Tri-Vista are the evolution between valves and transistors and regarded for their smooth sound quality while not requiring all the valve nonsense and will last for decades, but buy a spare set just in case because availability is very limited.

I’m sure you’ll get a sonic benefit to your CD player, but I did hear the Tri-Vista SACD many years ago and it was excellent.

The original MF company has been acquired by an Austrian company.
