THE MF 324 DAC was considered to be an equal of the Gen V. I purchased the MF DAC instead of upgrading the III to a Va. However, I noticed fine grain in it's presentation compared to the Gen III or V that I found very annoying. I haven't heard the Tri-vista DAC.
I'm now using the Dodson DAC & I wouldn't consider owning any other DAC.
My transport is the Theta Jade & recent conversations (last week) w/Theta convinces me that for redbook CD's, it is still the transport to use.
