MUSICAL FIDELITY A5 CD PLAYER PROBLEM

ACCIDENTLY A DVD WAS INSERTED INTO MY A5,FOR OVER 20 MINUTES THE PLAYER DISPLAYS "READING" THE PROBLEM IS THAT NOW IT WILL NOT STOP OR OPEN TO EJECT THE DISC. I TRIED TO UNPLUG IT, PLUG IT BACK IN, TURNING THE POWER BACK ON AND IMMEDIATELY PUSHING THE OPEN BUTTON BUT IT GOES DIRECTLY INTO "READING" STILL. BESIDES TAKING IT IN FOR SERVICE DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY OTHER IDEAS??

I also accidelty inserted a DVD-A on my A5 when I first got it. I did just as a few others said and gently pulled the draw open. No problems whatsoever.
same thing may happen if you attempt to play an SACD there. Salesperson at Sound by Singer told me they contacted MF about this, as several people already complained and brought the player back. Good sounding player though.
It also depends on which type of SACD it is. I bought an SACD version of Miles Davis' Sketches of Spain and, Yes that happened. However, on an Original Master recording- SACD Version of Patricia Barber's Modern Cool, it plays perfectly.

And to the people who took their A5's back... they are missing out now.
Yes. If it is a SACD with a redbook layer, the A5 will work as expected and play the CD.
