Musical Fidelity A3 or Krell KAV-300i

Hello, I was wondering if anyone out there could help me out? I am looking at buying a used amp for my system! I can buy both of these amps used for about the same price. For anyone out there who knows, which amp is better & why? What would you choose? Does age also, play a factor? The Musical Fidelity A3 is fairly new Vs the Krell KAV-300i is about 5 years old. I would appreciate anyone who can help me out with this decision! Thanks for your time!!!!

Thank you,

David.......

I cannot compare the two, however I owned the 300i a couple of years before upgrading. Some people on the 'gon do not like its sonics but I loved them. It has excellent power and punch for an integrated and it is very open and revealing. I ran Theta source and Thiel speakers with a subwoofer. Since those days I have spent many times (thousands) the price of those components in order to upgrade and still believe in that system for its presence, its power, and its drive (If you want 'tubey' don't go with the Krell KAV 300i).
What are your speakers? I've had both and I think I can say that the Krell is much better than the A3. However, going to the MF A3CR or 3.2 seperates will be better than the krell with more flexability to boot.
