Music Hall MMF 2 motor

Anyone have any ideas on a cheap replacement for a Music Hall MMF 2 replacement motor? Mine seems to be biting the dust. it still spins ok, but makes a tremendous amount of noise at startup. I know one can buy replacement motors through needle doctor for $50. But it kind of seems like the motor is probably just some cheap OEM part i can find elsewhere.... Needless to say, the TT isn;t worth much, so I don't feel great about investing that much to get it back to good health.

On the other hand, maybe it just needs oiling?

thoughts? ideas?
