Mundorf (non-oil) Silver / Gold EVO MCap Supreme coupling caps in your tube amp ???

Anyone have good luck with these caps in your tube amp?

>> Mundorf (non-oil) MCap Supreme EVO Silver/Gold coupling capacitors << .22uf / 1000VDC

Previously tried Clarity MR caps and Jensen Copper Oil caps in my prior (same brand) tube amp with decent success. The Jensen oils were nice and a bit more syrupy sounding than my former Clarity caps, were too harsh for me. Looking for something in between. Normally I almost always prefer oil caps; maybe not this time. We will see. For my newer tube amp, a few folks who modify/upgrade Cary tube amps recommended installing these Mundorf (non-oil) Silver Gold Supreme EVO caps - reportedly for a bit more "open and extended air, ,with more bass, and still retaining a nice lush sound" as compared to my former Jensen oil caps. I did listen to my exact same tube amp with similar tube compliment with high-end V-Caps and it was a bit too lean for my taste. I’m hoping these new EVO caps sit somewhere in between and still retain a nice smooth sound.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I do believe that the new evo caps would be exactly what you are looking for.I have them in my Yamamoto A09s as coupling caps and the sound difference is much smoother than Vcaps that I had before.Another good choice may be the Jupiter ht copper foil they are not super expensive either.

Here is a link to a very good cap comparison website,

decooney,

To answer your question the best that I can, always remember audio is highly subjective and everyone hears things differently.

Using Vcaps in amps and crossovers always gave me a lean and more neutral midrange and I prefer just the opposite. Also in direct comparison in my Yamamoto amp between vcaps and mundorf evo's I found also the evo's to have a better sounding top end meaning more natural and forgiving to worst sounding recordings.
I found the bass to be quite equal with either cap and I can't say there was any overall detail missing anywhere with the Evo.

Dueland makes a small .01 uf bypass cap which I would like to try sometime may make a nice difference in some crossovers in my newest speakers and or amps.

If anybody has tried these I would like to hear about it.
