Mozarts boomy-help

I can finally listen and enjoy vocals with cds but I can't get rid of the boomy bass. I have tried three rooms and three amps, several wire changes and I have danced them all over the place.
System includes the Musical Fidelity 3.2 integrated , Audio Refinement Complete CD player VPI JR. turntable, and the Vienna Acoustics Mozart speakers. Also Kimber Hero and 4tc. Thanks for the help in advance.

Did all the rooms have low ceilings w/carpet flooring? (I had a pair of JM Lab Cobalt 810's that sounded completely different when placed in different rooms. The room which was small and had low ceilings, very boomy. Larger room with high ceilings became the opposite.) Perhaps the spks. need some sort of isolation/decoupling cone or point?? You may want to try some Nordost speaker wire. (Solar Wind) Good Luck. Bill
I've had the Bach's then the Mozarts. Enjoyed the midrange and high in both speakers. I've said more than once about both sets, that, it seems like they are trying to get too much bass out of these speakers. Right now I'm using a pair of Paragon Regents (Dynaudio drivers) and the bass goes lower than the Mozarts but in a much cleaner fashion...no boom. One of the things I did with the Mozarts was to put a size 12 white sock loosly in the port in the back, it helped out with the boominess.
I have the little Haydens which I really enjoy, but initially had the same difficulty. Most (if not all) my problems were solved with some placemet work. Most critical it seems is that the speakers must be WELL away from the rear wall (I'm talking nearly 48").

Don't give up yet! The Vienna line in general gives you allot of bang for the buck (IMHO)!

Happy listening

Didn't these have the drivers hooked up out of phase. Maybe switching phase of drivers would help.
I am not familiar with the speakers but with the problem. I solved it by placing the speakers on aurios. I originally had my speakers on the supplied spikes on rubber and metal spike shoes, then tried better spikes and now on the aurios everything is much better. It's the old couple/decouple argument but they worked for me. Oh yeah, and moving them out from the back wall...
