Movie/film suggestions.

While this is of course a forum for the discussion of all things audio/hi-fi and music, pretty much all of us are also lovers of movies, the enjoyment of which is effected by the reproduction of the sound they contain (with the exception of silent movies wink).

I've been focused on David Lynch movies since his death, but with current events so much a part of our lives at the moment, I plan on re-watching a movie I’ve seen only once, and years ago. That movie is:

The Madness Of King George. Apropos, no?

The Revenant is a great movie!

Just rewatched The Wolf Of Wall Street"

Watched "Monsters’ Ball" recently. I had forgotten Heith Ledger was in this film.

Kind of at a loss for words to describe my take. The last scene on the side steps, drinking a beer.....Haley realizes after putting all the pieces together, and accepting that, realizes this is now her life

Mentioning Renee Zelwegger reminded me of the wonderful job she did in "Judy".

Watched "Cinderella Man" recently. I was pleasantly surprised. Great cast...Russell Crowe, Renee Zelwegger, Paul Giomotti......who is really a great actor.

Watched "Spotlight" for the second since it was released. Really well done.

Interesting to watch "Quiz Show" again after all these years. John Turturro is great.

Watched "The Wrestler" again with Micky Rourke. I thought it was still really good.

"Defendor" Woody Harellson delivers another outstanding performance in this little talked about film.

Melissa McCarthy is hilarious in Tammy. In many more memorable roles as well. St. Vincent with McCarthy & Bill Murray is an excellent movie.

Rewatched "Capote" recently. We lost a great actor in Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Army Of One. Inspired by a true story.....Nick Cage goes on a mission from God (Russell Brand) to capture Osama Bin Laden and bring him back to face justice.

"A Man Called Otto"

Explores dark themes with a positive twist. Who thought the fresh faced Tom Hanks could evolve in any role he chose.

I admit to liking films leaning towards the dark side at times. Jim Carrey's character in "Dark Crimes" was mesmerizing IMO. Filmed in B&W for added effect.

"Return To Macon County" an early hot rod film with Don Johnson and Nick Nolte.

I think John C Reilly has been in more movies than we remember. His role in The Sister's Brothers was a highlight, IMO

"The Man in the Moon" & "Freeway"....two early Reese Witherspoon movies

Chris Cooper was great in "Breach"

"Lucky" if you're a Harry Dean Stanton fan
