Thanks for explaining. I would think adding two subwoofers would allow the bookshelf speakers to play down lower.

I am sure that the Sim will need 2 subs well controlled yes and they will be great...

My speaker woofer has 2 more centimeter of diameter and a bigger box well damped over 80 pounds of concrete on platform and springs under and over them under the damping load...

This is why they sound great ...With room acoustic control...But it is not suitable for a living room... It is why the only luxury in audio for me is not the gear but a room...

I am glad to need no subs...

The less is the best....😁😊

My deepest respect to you....

I do not know why people buy bookshelf speakers when tower speakers play down lower. However, I firmly believe adding a pair of REL subwoofers is the key to extending the bass seamlessly. Their high-level connection technology is revolutionary.

Because my room is too small... 😁😊 13 feet square....

Because i need to put the speakers on my desk in my small dedicated room...

I have the choice of using the living room with bigger speakers or using a dedicated smaller room... I take the best choice acoustically, no speaker beat a room...I could experiment in acoustic and optimize them so much that they were better in my acoustically controlled room than the superior design of the Tannoy in ordinary living room... Then, acoustic rule, not the box.....

I sold my two pairs of dual gold superior Tannoy to buy the relatively inferior designed Mission because of size and British reputation...I never regret it...thanks to acoustic...

I will never upgrade this 50 bucks speakers... 😁😊

If i compared with the Sim audio i doubt that they will beat the Mission Cyrus in bass impact...

I disconnected my Kreisel sub....😁 After buying it for that role... But to my surprize It was enough bass with the speakers alone... And more natural...I listen only classical and jazz or asian music... 😁😊

Room acoustic help a lot... Even gong sound like gong i feel them with my chest... Not bad for a 7 inches woofer in an alleged "bad" square room.....But acoustic is a field with many possibilities...I used some...

But Sim audio had a great reputation, i will buy them if i need some smaller one than what i already have...I even fream about their amplifier ans integrated dac few years ago...I did not buy it by limited budget reason... Sim is one of the serious audio business...I will surely read the reviews of this speaker... I am curious and anyway i lived in Quebec and Sim is from Quebec...
